It is worth noting that this is my first posting and it is with specific purpose that I do so. A belated thanks is in order for this site and the work of this project on behalf of the Kansas AFL-CIO. The site is an outgrowth of (2) labor activists with a vision for the future of labor in Kansas. It is important to first mention that many a great idea never ever make it from the drawing board to reality. Thank you Jake Lowen for the personal time you have donated to this project and your technical expertise to make this a reality. Thank you Chad Manspeaker for this concept and your vision of the common good. Thank you both for your persistence of “not if” but “when” attitude. You both answered the question of when with Now and the question of “who” with US.
A special thanks to Stuart Elliot for laying the technical ground-work here in the State Fed office to get our message out to the world. He instilled upon me that communication can always be improved upon. Once again this illustrates that our strength lies not with individuals, but instead collectively among the members and affiliates.
I look forward to sharing activites the Kansas AFL-CIO is involved in and seeing what others have to share.
